Yes, you can definitely reuse your candle jar after you have used up your candle.
Repurposing candle jars is an eco-friendly way to reduce waste and create functional or decorative items for your home.

- Remove Remaining Wax:
Freezing Method: Place the jar in the freezer for a few hours. The wax will harden and shrink, making it easier to pop out with a knife or spoon.
Boiling Water Method: Pour boiling water into the jar, which will melt the wax and cause it to float to the top. Once cooled, remove the wax pieces.
- Remove Wick and Wick Holder:
Use a pair of tweezers or pliers to pull out the wick and any metal wick holder from the bottom of the jar.
- Clean the Jar:
Soap and Water: Wash the jar with warm, soapy water to remove any residual wax or soot.
Rubbing Alcohol: For a final clean, wipe the inside of the jar with rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining residue and to disinfect it.
5. What type of wick do you use in the candles?

6. How long can a new, unburnt candle last?
It is best to burn your candle within the first two years that you have purchased them as the candle may lose its scent intensity over time.
7. Burn time?
Discovery: Approximately 3+ hours
Travel tin: Approximately 8+ hours
Small glass: Approximately 17+ hours
Medium glass: Approximately 20+ hours
8. Storage Conditions:
Cool, Dark Place: Store candles away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent melting and discoloration.
Airtight Containers: Using airtight containers or wrapping them in foil or plastic can help preserve the scent and prevent dust accumulation.
Avoid Humidity: High humidity can affect the candle's appearance and performance, so a dry environment is preferable.
9. Candle burning safety:
- Trim the Wick:
Always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn. This prevents excessive flickering and smoke, ensuring a cleaner burn.
Reason: A trimmed wick helps to control the size of the flame and extends the life of the candle.
- Allow a Full Melt Pool
On the first burn, let the candle burn long enough to achieve a full melt pool (the entire top surface of the candle becomes liquid). This can take 2-4 hours depending on the size of the candle.
Reason: This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
- Avoid Drafts
Place your candle in an area free from drafts, vents, and fans.
Reason: Drafts can cause uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
- Burn Time
Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Reason: Burning for too long can cause the wick to become unstable, produce smoke, and the container can become excessively hot.
- Keep the Wax Pool Clean
Remove any debris, such as wick trimmings or matches, from the wax pool.
Reason: Debris can act as a secondary wick, causing the candle to burn unevenly or too quickly.
- Storage
Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place when not in use.
Reason: This prevents discoloration and fading of the scent.
- Burn on a Heat-Resistant Surface
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
Reason: This prevents heat damage to surfaces and reduces the risk of fire.
- Monitor Your Candle
Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Reason: Safety is paramount to prevent accidents and fires.

As it dissolves, it releases soothing or invigorating aromas, turning your shower into a spa-like experience. Depending on the blend of essential oils, our shower steamers can help relieve headaches, energize your morning, or prepare you for a restful night's sleep.
2. Does it have chemicals?
Our After6ix shower steamers are made with natural ingredients, including essential oils, citric acid, and baking soda. We avoid harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances, ensuring a safe and clean experience. However, always check the ingredient list if you have sensitivities or allergies.
3. Is it skin safe?
While our shower steamers are designed to be enjoyed in the steam of your shower and not applied directly to the skin, they are made with natural, skin-friendly ingredients. However, if you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies, it’s best to keep the steamer on the shower floor and avoid direct contact.
4. How to use a shower steamer?
To use a shower steamer:
- Place the steamer on the floor of your shower, ideally out of the direct stream of water but close enough for some water to splash on it.
- As the steamer dissolves, it releases aromatic essential oils into the steam.
- Breathe deeply and enjoy the therapeutic scents as you shower.
5. Will it make the shower slippery?
Our shower steamers are designed to dissolve completely without leaving a slippery residue. However, as with any product used in the shower, it’s a good idea to be careful during use and rinse the area after use to ensure your shower floor remains clean and safe for yourself and other users.
6. Will it work in cold water or hot water?
Shower steamers are most effective in warm to hot water, as the steam helps release the essential oils into the air. Cold water may not create enough steam to fully activate the steamer's aromatic benefits.
7. How long will the shower steamer last?
The duration depends on the size and placement of the steamer. On average, one steamer lasts for the duration of a shower, typically around 10-30 minutes.
8. What is the shelf life of the shower steamer?
Shower steamers typically have a shelf life of about 6 to 12 months when stored properly in a cool, dry place. The exact expiration date can vary based on factors such as the ingredients used and storage conditions.
Considerations for Expiration:
- Essential Oils: Over time, the potency of the essential oils may diminish, reducing the effectiveness and fragrance of the shower steamer.
- Moisture Exposure: If exposed to moisture, the steamer may start to break down or lose its effervescence before the expiration date.
We recommend using it within 1 year of the manufacturing date.

Shower steamers are designed for use in the shower. If you’re looking for something for the bath, consider using a bath bomb instead.

We don’t recommend the shower steamers for kids to use. Likewise, if you are pregnant or nursing, or have a medical condition, please seek the guidance of your doctor before using the shower steamers. Some essential oils may not be recommended during pregnancy. Please consult your healthcare provider before using any products with essential oils if you are pregnant or nursing.
11. Can I cut the steamer in half for multiple uses?
Yes, you can cut the steamer into smaller pieces for multiple uses. Just ensure that you store the unused portion in an airtight container to maintain its effectiveness.
